The Bible speaks to both men and women. But in 1 Kings 2 we find a distinctly masculine message from one man – David, 2nd king of Israel – to his son Solomon who is about to become king. The essence of David’s counsel to Solomon: Be a heroic man. But in order to be that, we be aware of the elements that comprise heroic manhood.
