When the New Testament speaks of a “mystery”, it is speaks of something that had at one time been hidden but is now revealed to God’s people. Before Jesus came to earth, the prophets were only given parts of the story, but the complete story was revealed after Christ came in the flesh to reveal God’s plan of salvation for mankind.
